Jezra Matthews Streetstyle Session - Brooklyn NY
Hi Friends!
I hope all is well! Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the internet. If you have followed me you know I love adding fashion flair to my images. When I was younger I considered being a stylist but ultimately my passion photography trumped everything. I’m now offering Street Style Photo Sessions you can find out about the pricing here.
Street Style session are perfect for bloggers and influencers because it allows them to create content at the fraction of the cost of a full photo session. The session times are shorter but the image turn around is faster which is great if you post content regularly on social media.
Jezra and I worked together before I love working with her she is so bubbly and easy going. I love that she is breaking down stereotypes and promoting body positivity. I LOVE challenging and redefining conventional beauty standards. I believe that we are all beautiful in our own way and it should be celebrated everyday.
Street Style Sessions are becoming a fast favorite of mine. As a NYC photographer I love scouting and looking for locations that aren’t typically photographed (except for Brooklyn Bridge I will never get tired of that location. LOL.)
The locations have to compliment my clients and the clothes that they are wearing. I work closely with each client to see exactly what they plan on wearing and find locations that will make their clothes pop. I love how Jezra’s burgundy skirt and leopard print Fashion Figure top pop against the brick wall , green door and bush (is that a bush? LOL) in the images above. Making sure that my clients, bloggers, and influencers have not only great content to post but a variety is a must. While scouting locations I love choosing areas where there a great backdrops within short distances. Usually I pick 2-3 spaces with in three blocks of one another. Which is great in the summer months because who wants to get all dressed up to walk 40 miles in the heat to have all the makeup melt off of their face?!? And in the winter it’s too cold to walk far in the freezing cold.
As far as the wardrobe changes go, I always scout locations with a bathroom nearby, or sometimes my clients change in the car that’s one of the drawbacks of shooting street style on the streets of NYC. The photos are worth it though. LOL
Well friends that’s it for now. Until next time.
XOXO Nic-
