FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Where do your shoots take place? Sessions occur in my studio at 36 Waverly Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11205 or on-location (outdoors, hotels, coffee shops, parks, etc.). If you need to change clothes during an outdoor shoot, I have a portable dressing room. I usually scout out nearby restrooms where my clients can change clothes.
Why does custom photography cost so much? It’s because it’s custom. I take the time to get to know each of my clients to create a photo session and experience that is uniquely them. Pre-session consultations, location, lighting, makeup application, retouching of each image are made to reveal you're true essence so that you look and feel your best. Most importantly ensuring that you look like you!
Will my photos be edited? Yes, of course, your photos will be edited. They will not be overly edited. I’m in the business of celebrating people not making plastic people.
Why are digital images/files so expensive? Digital images are the most valuable and versatile purchase. Each client receives a print release which allows you to make prints. You can print the images as many times as you want as well as make photobooks, albums and wall art. The print release you receive allows you to make those products yourself. Therefore the high resolution files are priced accordingly.
What's the difference between low res and high res images? Basically you can print high res images. Low res images are not ideal for printing. However they are perfect for display online. Such as facebook, instagram, twitter and etc.
How far in advance should I book my session? Immediately to ensure that you receive your desired date. My calendar is usually booked 1-2 months in advance.
What should I expect on the day of my session? An awesome experience! Your custom photo session will be fun, exciting, and relaxed. I will tell you what to do with your hands, as well as guide you into poses.
How do you choose your shoot locations? During your pre-session consultation, we discuss the purpose, vision, and themes for your shoot. We go over outfit choices from head to toe. Once we have decided on everything, we then move on to finding a location that compliments you and your shoot.
What should I wear? Do you pose us? After our pre-session consultation I will send you a guide with tips on what you should wear and a checklist of items you should bring with you to the shoot. I also work with a bevy of fabulous professional fashion stylist, make up artist and hair stylistand would be happy to refer you to one should you need one.
What is the turnaround time for finished images? 2-3 weeks after your session we will schedule a virtual gallery reveal/ordering session. During that time you will select your images and order any additional images, prints wall art and albums. Photos will not be delivered via online gallery.

POLICIES
SESSION FEE & RETAINER. A non-refundable retainer is due at the time of booking in order to secure your date. Your date will not be reserved until the retainer is paid. The remaining balance of your session fee must be paid on or before your session date. If you pay the remaining balance on your session date it must be paid upon your arrival to the session. No shooting, styling or makeup application, etc. will take place if your session fee is not paid in full. Once the retainer is paid no other client can reserve your date or time slot, therefore retainers are non-refundable. If a client pays the retainer and needs to reschedule. The retainer is valid for one year from the original booking date. All retainers that are not redeemed within one year will be null and void.
ACCEPTABLE FORS OF PAYMENT. Cash, bank certified checks, zelle, credit/debit cards.
CANCELLATION. If you need to cancel your session, please notify me 48 hours in advanced of your scheduled session date. All clients who notify me within 48 hrs of their session date will immediately be scheduled for the next available date. However you are only allowed to postpone your session date one time. If your session is postponed more than two times an additional $250.00 will be applied to your remaining balance. If your postponement is due to inclement whether you will not penalized and will not incur any additional fees other than remaining session fee balance.
TIME. Please arrive on time for your session dressed and ready to shoot. Please note that there is an allotted time for your shoot specifically for you. If you arrive late to your session your shooting time will start at the time of your arrival and will not be extended.
ATTENDANCE. Is limited to those being photographed. No more than 1 additional person will be allowed at the photo session, unless its parents accompanying a minor. Having additional people present who are not being photographed can be distracting to both the photographer and to those being photographed. Cameras of any kind are not permitted at your photo session.
PRINTS AND PRODUCTS. All orders must be placed during the gallery reveal/ordering session. All payments must be made upon receipt of the invoice.
DIGITAL IMAGES. Digital images included in the portrait session packages are high res images unless otherwise stated. Images included with event photography prices are low res images. Unless otherwise stated. If you would like to purchases high res images of your event. High res images maybe purchased from the a la carte menu for an additional fee.
INCLEMENT WEATHER. We will reschedule for the next available date. If inclement weather cuts your session short. We will schedule a date and time to finish the remainder of your session.
COPYRIGHT. All images/products created and provided by Nicole Mondestin Photography whether print or digital may not be reproduced by any means. Scanning or reproduction of purchased images without Nicole Mondestin Photography's consent constitutes copyright infringement and is punishable by law. Nicole Mondestin Photography is the only entity allowed to print and reproduce your images unless otherwise stated.
COVID. Your saftey as well as the safety of my staff is of the utmost importance. Because of COVID-19 shoot are limited to the people being photographed. No additional guest will be permited. Unless the subject is a minor, then a chaperone or guardian will be allowed. Any additional guest will be asked to leave.
Studio is cleaned and sanitized Before and after EVERY shoot.
Regular handwashing and sanitizing
Mask and face shields are worn by staff.
Air purifier/filter on premises
Sessions are not only imited to due to COVID-19 but they are nos staggered.
All props, accessories, wardobe, fabrics, drapes, chairs and etc. are cleaned and sanitized BEFORE and After every session.
ALL CLIENTS ARE TEMPERATURE CHECKED PRIOR TO ENTERING THE STUDIO.
ALL CLIENTS ARE REQUIRED TO WASH AND SANITIZE THEIR HANDS UPON ENTERING THE STUDIO.
ALL BELONGINGS WILL BE SANITIZED UPON ENTERING THE STUDIO.

Muscle Pain
Fever or Cough
New loss of taste or smell
Trouble Breathing
Chills or Repeated Shaking with chills
Shortness of Breath and or difficulty breathing
If you are experiencing any of these symptoms please seek medical attention immediately. If you have a shoot booked and you are experiencing any of these sympotms. Please stay home and call me to reschedule your shoot. Your non-refundable retainer will be applied to a new date.
